Thozha (Friend) is a 2016 Indian comedy-drama film directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by PVP Cinema. He hires Seenu (Karthi), an ex-convict who is out on parole, as his caretaker. Seenu is a carefree and cheerful person who does not pity Vikramaditya's condition and treats him as an equal. The two develop an unlikely bond of friendship that changes their lives for the better. They learn to appreciate the value of relationships over money and disability.
Thozha was simultaneously shot in Telugu and Tamil languages, with the Telugu version titled as Oopiri (Breath). The film was released worldwide on 25 March 2016 and received critical acclaim for its performances, direction, cinematography and music.
